Founded to bring both physical and spiritual transformation to remote villages in Tanzania, Water in the Wild partners with local leaders to address the urgent need for clean water and gospel-community together.
Their model is simple yet powerful: they drill deep-water wells to supply safe, reliable drinking water, and then launch local churches alongside those wells so the church is seen as a helper, not an outsider.
The cost for one “church + well” unit is approximately US $26,000, which covers the well, church building, pastor’s home, training, mission support, a bicycle, and Bibles.
To date they have completed over 130 healthy-water projects and more than 280 church plants across Tanzania. Their bold vision is to establish around 750 such water-and-church sites and ultimately reach one million Tanzanians with the hope of Jesus. Through this integrated approach they’re meeting the physical need for water and the spiritual need for community and faith, helping entire villages move from survival to flourishing. Your prayers and support help bring clean water and gospel hope to places that rarely experience either.
